Maxfield Music, founded in 2015 by Kristen Maxfield, is an integrative music school in the city of Rochester and is adjacent to the Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York.

Kristen Maxfield is a seasoned vocal and piano instructor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Vocal Performance. She is well-versed in many musical genres including, but not limited to: R&B, Jazz, Blues, Country, Pop, Classical and Musical Theater. In the music industry for nearly 15 years, she’s worked as a backup vocalist for national tours, a studio musician, a choir professional, as well as a singer/songwriter for her own bands based in New York City, Philadelphia and Rochester, NY.

She’s worked with a number of professional musicians in the entertainment industry to include Scott Sharrard & Jay Collins (Gregg Allman Band); Ian Hendrickson-Smith (Amy Winehouse, Al Green, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings); Sam Polizzi (Daughtry); Dan Stein (produced Bonnie Raitt); Charles Martinez (Produced/Engineered Kristin Chenoweth, Donald Fagen and Steely Dan); Ron Thompson (studio and live musician for various artists); Thomas Gooding (various artists).

In addition, Kristen has 15 years of audition preparation experience and five years of teaching private one-on- one vocal lessons.

Kristen has released three albums throughout her career and is currently working on her fourth studio album due to release in November 2017. Stay tuned!
